The family of Walter “James” Hensley has announced plans to celebrate his life following the tragic fire at a hunting camp in Evergreen, Alabama, that claimed the lives of the young University of Alabama student and his friend, McNeil Mosteller, early Wednesday morning.

Family members, friends, classmates, and the Mobile community continue to mourn the heartbreaking loss of Hensley, whose death has prompted an outpouring of love and support from those who knew him.

Celebration of Life Service

According to Serenity Funeral Home, a Celebration of Life for Walter “James” Hensley will be held on Tuesday, July 7, at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church in Mobile.

The family will receive visitors in the church’s Parish Hall beginning at 10:00 a.m., with the memorial service scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the St. Paul’s Episcopal School Foundation in Hensley’s memory or to Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.
